A corporate strategy defines which market or industry sectors the business is in, or should be in, and how business units within the corporation should be integrated with one another, or not. The strategy is developed from wide ranging analysis using a range of tools such as SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) and PEST (political, economic, social and technological) analyses.
