Change management

This refers to the set of processes employed to ensure any change implemented in an organisation is controlled and managed in a systematic manner.

There are a wide range of change management techniques which address the need to identify the need for change, the required new state, the behaviour or process changes and the training, support and control required to implement and embed the change.  Specifically in the context of ICT, change management refers to the defined processes for requesting, approving, developing and implementing changes to an ICT system.

Change management is a term normally found in strategic management.
