Financial accountant

This refers to a post (or posts) in an organisation.

They are responsible for advising on accounting matters and, typically, producing the organisations financial statements.  Financial accountants typically maintain accounting ledgers, advise on the accounting treatment of income or spend, and prepare financial statements for review by the external auditors.

Financial accountant is a term normally found in financial accounting and financial reporting.
