This refers to targets set by organisations which are measurable in monetary terms.

From a corporate perspective, financial objectives may include targets for profits or new business sales. In other sectors financial objectives may include target levels of income or grants received. In reality, organisations use a mixture of financial and non-financial objectives (for example staff retention) in order to achieve their overall goals.
