Mixed Economy

This refers to an economy in which government sets a framework within which market forces will work.

This framework may include regulation over areas such as labour, product safety, environmental impacts of operations and fair descriptions. In some markets, for example domestic energy or healthcare, this framework may also include forms of protection for poorer or more vulnerable customers/users.

Mixed Economy is a term normally found in business economics and financial management.
