This refers to the risk relating to the specific company’s activities.

Unsystematic risks may be company or industry specific, for example poor management performance or industry substitution; as opposed to systematic risks facing all markets for example natural disasters, international economic changes.

Unsystematic risk is a term normally found in financial management, risk and control and strategic management.
